(Hypalon)
Product Description and Application:
This
material was originally designed for automotive applications because
of the oil swell characteristics combined with heat resistance and
long-term aging properties. This material exhibits similar sealing
properties to Neoprene Cork. Hypalon Cork can be used in service
temperatures approximately 100 degrees F., higher than Neoprene
Cork. Many different styles to choose from with different tensile
strength, compression, density and thickness.
(Neoprene)
Product Description and Application:
This material has been developed to meet military and federal
specifications for oil resistance. Generally used in a variety of
automotive and industrial applications. This material exhibits
excellent aging properties and weather resistance. This material can
be used up to 212 degrees F. Many different styles to choose from
with different tensile strength, compression, density and thickness.
(Nitrile)
Product Description and Application:
This material is primarily used as a fuel sealant. Specifically
designed to meet the military's standards for resistance to aromatic
fuel. This material exhibits minimum swell in oil. This material can
be used up to 250 degrees F. Many different styles to choose from
with different tensile strength, compression, density and thickness.
(Polyacrylate)
Product Description and Application:
This material has been designed for higher heat requiring sealing of
sulfur bearing oil. This material can hold up to service
temperatures as high as 350 degrees F. Polyacrylate Cork has a
higher oil swell characteristic than Neoprene Cork and Nitrile Cork.
Tensile strength (medium), compression strength (medium), density
(medium) and various thickness.
(SBR/Nitrile)
Product Description and Application:
This material is an economical blend of polymers and cork designed
to act as an excellent general purpose cork-rubber. Generally used
in a vast variety of engine applications. This material can be used
when applications do not require the heat resistance of Nitrile
Cork, but would benefit from higher oil swell. Many different styles
to choose from with different tensile strength, compression, density
and thickness.
Various *ASTM and MIL and SAE-AMS specs available.
